Ouside Asia Kung-Fu is known as the ensamble of Martial Arts. It is composed of two ideograms: Kung, which means "work" or "do" and Fu, which means "nice". Literally, the meaning can be assumed as "work well done", something achieved with passion and hard work. The word "WU I" or "WU SHU" are nowadays the most common idiom to indicate Martial Arts - disciplines based on both phylosofical and physical principles, aiming towards human beings evolution.
Kung-Fu is, by all means, Martial as it is related to fighting, and Art as it is the expression of a objectively nice-to-see movement. Those two concepts must coexist with each other; one without the other would mean transforming the Martial Art into a rude fight or to lose the fundamental aspects which will disadvantage health and efficency.
The main purpose of Philosophy does not involve the understanding of World, but rather helping a Man become "spiritually wise" in the deepest sense of the word. That purpose can be achieved by developing the virtue of "human sensitivity". A man can help other men only if he helps himself first. We spend most of our existance daydreaming, or worse, "asleep", without even realizing it.
